Ready, Set, Pray!

When the team touched down in Lakeway in August of 2022, their hearts were burning with anticipation. The Lord had said to go, and here they were, boots on the ground ready to embrace the plan and mission of the Lord for Austin, Texas and the surrounding areas. So many new things were on the horizon: new city, new people, new cultures, and most exciting of all, new beginnings! In all that, the team recieved one instruction from the Lord. Pray!

Pray more than you plan. Intercede and know that whilst invisible to the eye, you must lay the foundation for the work that is to come. Pray and walk with the Lord so that He might refine your hearts and purify your motives, that there might not be any wicked way in you. Pray so that the strongholds and principalities that hold the area captive might diminish and fall to the mighty name of Jesus. Pray so that you might know the Father's heart and never forget to let Him build the house, lest you begin to strive and toil in vain.

Much has taken place since that first summer in the ATX area. It is a beautiful tapestry of both triumph and tears, woven purposefully together by the Lord. One that He purposed for growth as He so faithfully does. Now, as we approach July of 2024, we are poising ourselves for a season of accelerated construction of this house: Rescue Church.

And in that, God has brought us full circle and reminded us that we are to be a HOUSE OF PRAYER. So as we plan, we will pray. As we work the ground and prepare the soil, we will saturate it in our tears of supplication. We will fall to our knees as we call in the laborers to the field that will help us prepare to plant, tend and harvest souls for the Lord. We will place our feet on the starter blocks and ready ourselves for the sound of the pistol, sounding off in our hearts, "ready, set, pray!"
